God Wants His world back. What will that take? It will take all of us to become LOVE.
New Testament accounts
“Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?” He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. ‘ This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. … By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for the day of …
If you want to find greater Joy, (Jesus, Others, You) fall in love with Jesus, the Source of everlasting love.
In the words of Deanna G Bartalini, in her book, “Stay Connected”, where she invites us to invite us the Holy Spirit into our life… which will allow you to grow in love, joy, peace patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control…
“Love, Lord is what we all seek. We might even think we can earn it, but we cannot. Your love is our ultimate example of what is true and perfect. Thank you for the love you have shown me in creating me, in giving your Son guide me, Holy Spirit, to be of service to those in need.
I ask for all of this, trusting in your love, to me, and in sending your Holy Spirit to me. You are selfless, only wanting my good. That is the love that I need and that this world needs–a love where the other is put first.
Teach me to have a love that seeks the good of others and does not look for a reward. Fill me with love like yours, and I ask for the courage to share it with others–not only with those whom I know and love but also with those that are difficult to love.
I ask for the grace to bring love to all those that come into my life. The fruit of a life well spent in service to others is love; guide me Holy Spirit, to be of service to those in need. I ask for all of this, trusting in your love, through your Son and the Spirit. Amen”
Mother Teresa tells us.
“Every act of love is a work of Peace, no matter how small.”
“One of the most beautiful gifts that God has given me is to serve and put my love for Jesus in living action as I serve the poorest of the poor… in giving tender love and care to the poor, to the dying, to the crippled, to the unwanted, to the unloved, to the lepers, and so bring new life and joy into their lives.”
Proverbs: 10: 12
Hatred stirs old quarrels and makes mountains out of molehills, but love is not easily offended.
From Fulton J. Sheen
At present there is so much hate, angry, and desolation in the world. We need to pray God send His angles to speak to the angles of angry people to enlighten them to the Peace, Love, and Joy they are missing out on. Love can and will conquer all.
Our Heavenly Father delivered His Son to the death of the cross to save us from evil. Grant us the grace of the resurrection. We really need to run back to love, back to Our Lord, the source of all life.
Love Dismantles Sin’s Power. We all have those habits of behavior and thinking that seem resistant to change. We know we should stop doing them, but their power over us feels overwhelming. We must let go and let God.
Love Heals Enmity. Once you have tasted God’s love, there is a desire to offer that love to others. It starts with loved ones and friends, but it is to move out into more difficult relationships, even to those we consider enemies.
Do the Best for Others? Here is a final way love conquers all. Our default mode as humans is to find fault with others so that we can feel better about ourselves. Let us remember we are not in the least bit perfect. Accepting others as they are, is a much better and more loving way to respond.
Love is a Choice
“All love on earth involves choosing. When, for example, a young man expresses his love for a young woman and asks her to become his wife, he is making an affirmation of love, negating his love for anyone else. In that one act by which he chooses her, he rejects all that is not her.
There is no other real way in which to prove we love a thing than by choosing it in preference to something else. Words and sighs of love may be, and often are, expressions of egotism or passion; but deeds are proof of love.
We can prove we love our God only by choosing Him in preference to anything else.”
Above all else control your emotions. They influence everything in your life.
